# Länderflaggen

Auf deutschen Regionalflaggen erscheinen die Wappen nur auf den offiziellen Versionen (außer Niedersachsen, Saarland und Rheinland-Pfalz).

BADEN-WÜRTTEMBURG  
Die Flagge wurde 1953 eingeführt. Ihre Farben stammen aus dem Wappen des Herzogs Friedrich V. von Schwaben, das Wappen stammt aus dem Jahr 1265. Es wurde 1954 als Staatswappen übernommen.

BAYERN  
Die bayerische Flagge wurde 1950 eingeführt, aber Blau und Weiß sind seit 1330 die bayerischen Farben und die Rautenformen tauchten erstmals im 15. Jahrhundert auf Bannern auf.

BERLIN  
Die Flagge wurde erstmals 1950 für West-Berlin eingeführt und 1991 auf die ganze Stadt ausgeweitet. Der Bär, ein Wortspiel mit dem Namen Berlin, stammt aus dem Jahr 1338 und die Farben aus dem Jahr 1861.

BRANDENBURG  
Die Farben der Flagge stammen vom Schild aus dem Jahr 1170, obwohl Rot und Weiß auch die Farben der mittelalterlichen Hanse waren. Die Flagge wurde 1990 eingeführt.

BREMEN  
Die Flagge Bremens stammt aus der Zeit vor ihrem 1891 eingeführten Wappen. Zuvor war Bremen Mitglied der Hanse, wo die Flagge ihren Ursprung hat.

HAMBURG  
Rot und Weiß sind seit 1325 die Farben der Hanse. Das Schloss ist für Hamburg; die drei Türme für die Dreifaltigkeit; das Kreuz oder Christus; die Sterne für den Vater und den Heiligen Geist.

HESSEN  
Die Flagge Hessens wurde 1948 eingeführt. Das Wappen stammt von Ludwig III. von Thüringen aus dem Jahr 1182. Die Farben Rot und Weiß der Flagge sind dem Löwen im Wappen nachempfunden.

</div>Diese Flagge verwendet die Landesflagge mit dem niedersächsischen Ortswappen in der Mitte. Es wurde 1946 angenommen, das Wappen stammt jedoch aus dem Jahr 1361, als es auf dem Siegel des Herrschers erschien.

MECKLENBURG-VORPOMMERN  
Diese 1991 eingeführte Flagge kombiniert das Blau und Weiß Pommerns mit den Blau-, Gelb- und Rottönen Mecklenburgs. Der Stier und der Greif sind ebenfalls lokale Wahrzeichen. Rot-Weiß erinnern an die Hanse.

Das Wappen zeigt den rheinischen Rhein, das westfälische Pferd und die lippische Rose; die drei Territorien, die sich zu einem Staat zusammenschlossen. Die Farben der Flagge stammen von den Wappen.

RHEINLAND-PFALZ  
Die Flagge wurde 1948 übernommen, als das Wappen auf der Nationalflagge angebracht wurde. Das Wappen zeigt den pfälzischen Löwen aus dem Jahr 1229, das Trierer Kreuz aus dem Jahr 1273 und das Mainzer Rad aus dem Jahr 1335.

SAARLAND  
Die 1957 eingeführte Flagge des Saarlandes erinnert an die verschiedenen Landesteile. Auf dem Schild sind der Löwe von Saarbrücken, das Kreuz von Trier, die Adler von Lothringen und der Löwe von Pfalz-Zweibrücken abgebildet.

SACHSEN  
Die Flagge wurde 1991 eingeführt, das Wappen ist jedoch das traditionelle Wappen der sächsischen Herrscher; schwarze und gelbe Bänder und die grüne Weinrautenkrone. Die weiß-grüne Flagge stammt aus dem 19. Jahrhundert.

SACHSEN-ANHALT  
Diese Flagge war bis 1991 die gleiche wie Baden-Württemberg, dann wurden die Farben vertauscht. Der Adler erinnert an Preußen, die zweifarbigen Bänder und die Rautenkrone an Sachsen und der Bär und die Mauer an das Wappen Anhalts.

SCHLESWIG-HOLSTEIN  
Der Schild zeigt zwei Löwen aus dem Wappen von Schleswig und ein Nesselblatt aus dem Wappen von Holstein. Die Farben der 1957 eingeführten Flagge sind den Wappen entnommen.

THÜRINGEN  
Eine weitere Flagge, deren Farben auf dem Staatswappen basieren. Es wurde 1991 übernommen. Der rot-weiße Löwe war im 12. Jahrhundert das Wappen der Grafen von Thüringen.
